Royal Golf Club

Founded in 1914, the Royal Country Club de Tanger holds a unique place in golfing history. The first club in the Mediterranean basin and one of the oldest in Africa, it embodies more than a century of sporting tradition. Modified by British architects Cotton and Pennink, then renovated in 2001 by Peter Harradine, this 18-hole, par 70 course, measuring 6,060 metres, offers an experience where authenticity meets technical challenge.

Just three kilometres from the city centre, the estate covers 65 hectares, with fairways laid out among cypresses, pines, firs and eucalyptus. This lush vegetation gives the course a peaceful atmosphere while creating varied perspectives that test players’ strategy. Each hole sits naturally in the landscape, offering quality golf in an unspoilt natural setting.
