Tangier has two 18-hole courses. The Royal Country Club de Tanger, founded in 1914, is a par 70 of 6,060 m on the Boubana road, renovated by Peter Harradine in 2001: 650 MAD for 18 holes (checked 28/09/2026). Al Houara, opened in June 2021 at km 19.8 on the Tangier–Asilah road by the Atlantic, is a par 72 by Graham Marsh and Vijay Singh, with a compact floodlit nine: 800 MAD for 18 holes (2026 visitor rate).
Golf in Tangier: courses, access, season and stay
Tangier has two 18-hole courses plus a compact 9-hole layout. Royal Country Club de Tanger, founded in 1914 and renovated in 2001 by Peter Harradine, is a par 70 of 6,060 metres over some 65 hectares on the Boubana road, among cypress, pine and eucalyptus. Al Houara, opened in June 2021 at km 19.8 on the Tangier-Asilah road, covers more than 110 hectares on the Atlantic shore: Graham Marsh and Vijay Singh designed an 18-hole, par-72 course there, alongside a floodlit 9-hole, par-27 course.

Getting there
Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport (IATA code TNG) is about 13 km by road from the Grand Socco, in the heart of the city. Both courses are close to it: about 12.4 km by road to the Royal Country Club and 13.6 km to Al Houara, on the Asilah road.
From the Grand Socco, the Royal Country Club is about 5 km by road; the club describes itself as located in the city centre. Al Houara is about 22 km away. A private transfer booked in advance easily links the city, the airport and both courses.
Best season
Tangier has cool, wet winters and hot, dry summers. According to Weather Spark (1980-2016 averages), April-May (highs of 20 to 23 °C, 21 to 38 mm of rain) and September-October (24 to 27 °C) offer the best balance for golf.
In July and August average highs reach 29 °C, so book an early tee time. In November and December about 80 mm of rain falls each month; bring rainwear. At the Royal Country Club, the course closes at 3 pm on Mondays.
