Golf buggy on the cart path of a tree-lined course

Among the Marrakech hotels whose official websites we read on 19 October 2026, three places let you sleep beside a golf course: Fairmont Royal Palm, a resort with its own 18 holes on the Amizmiz road; the two Pickalbatros hotels in the Palmeraie, alongside the Palmeraie course; and Amanjena, next door to Amelkis. Samanah and Al Maaden are golf estates, but on 19 October 2026 their clubs’ websites offered no accommodation. Three things decide the choice: the course’s access rules, the practice facilities, and whether you want the same course every day or a different one.

How we checked: on 19 October 2026 we read the official website of each hotel and each golf club, and kept only what they publish. Distances and drive times come from OSRM (an OpenStreetMap routing engine, car profile, no traffic), from the hotel to the course location published by the club or the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation. We quote no room rates.

Mandarin Oriental, on the Route du Golf Royal, is not on a course, but it is the luxury hotel closest to Royal Golf Marrakech: 0.5 km and 1 minute according to OSRM. We compare it with the city’s other big hotels in our guide to Marrakech golf hotels.

Fairmont Royal Palm: a resort with its own course

Fairmont Royal Palm describes itself as a resort of 135 accommodation units (rooms, suites, penthouses and villas) with views over the golf course and the Atlas, 15 minutes from Marrakech Menara airport on its home page (20 minutes in the FAQ on the same site). The course is at km 12 on the Amizmiz road: an 18-hole championship layout by Cabell B. Robinson, open January to December, 8am to 6pm.

What the hotel’s golf page lists:

  • practice facilities with a driving range and putting green, a pro shop and hire clubs;
  • a clubhouse with the Sabra restaurant, Legends’ Bar, men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers, a fitness area, a yoga studio and a pool, “subject to availability”;
  • a “Snack & Swing” service for ordering food and drinks during your round.

Three rules shape a stay. The course is reserved for players with a valid golf licence and a handicap of 28 or better. Buggies are not allowed when it rains. For golf professionals: access is free for pros staying at the hotel or resident in Morocco; a non-resident pro gets 50% off the green fee, and plays free with a group of seven or more.

The hotel publishes two golf packages, bookable for stays until 19 December 2026:

PackageGreen fees includedAlso included
4 nights minimum2 at Royal Palm, 1 at Noria (transfer included)Room and breakfast, Country Club access, 15% off spa treatments, return airport transfer
7 nights minimum3 at Royal Palm, 1 at Noria, 1 at Assoufid (transfers included)The same

No price appears on these pages, and the course’s own website has been offline since 14 October 2026, so the 2026-27 green fee is not published. Our Fairmont Royal Palm course guide has the detail. From the hotel, Samanah is 8 minutes away, Atlas Golf and Noria 14 minutes, and The Tony Jacklin 15 minutes.

Palmeraie: two Pickalbatros hotels on the same course

The Palmeraie course, which the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation lists as Rotana Palmeraie Golf Club, has 27 holes: an 18-hole par 72 by Robert Trent Jones Senior and a par-36 nine by Stéphane Talbot. Two Pickalbatros hotels sit beside it:

  • Pickalbatros Hôtel du Golf Palmeraie: a five-star, adults-only hotel, according to its website, which calls the 18 “our championship golf course”. OSRM puts the course 0.9 km away.
  • Pickalbatros Palmeraie Golf Palace: 324 rooms and suites in 4 hectares of gardens, 13 outdoor pools and an indoor pool, with an 18-hole championship course “right next to” it. Its bars look over the pool or the golf course.

Neither hotel publishes a green fee, a golf package or a description of practice facilities, and the club has no website of its own. The drawback of the Palmeraie: from these hotels, Royal Golf and Amelkis are 15 to 17 minutes away, and Samanah 32 minutes. See our Palmeraie Golf Marrakech guide.

Amanjena and Amelkis: 27 holes next door

Aman says the Amelkis course neighbours Amanjena, at km 12 on the Ouarzazate road. Amelkis is a 27-hole course by Cabell B. Robinson, in three loops of nine (Red, Blue, Green), with practice areas described by the club. The posted green fee is 950 MAD for 18 holes and 550 MAD for nine, checked on 19 October 2026.

Amanjena publishes a “Moroccan Golf Break” (three-night minimum, shown until 24 December 2027, black-out dates apply): daily green fees at Amelkis or Royal Golf, one green fee at Assoufid per stay, transfers to the courses and from the airport (except for group rates), a 60-minute spa treatment for two, breakfast and afternoon tea. No price is shown. Course detail in our Amelkis Golf Club guide.

Samanah and Al Maaden: golf estates with no hotel to book

Samanah: the course sits in a 300-hectare private estate, and its membership list includes a category for villa owners only. On 19 October 2026, the club’s website offered no villa to rent and no hotel. For visitors, the public rate is 1,100 MAD for 18 holes. The club publishes its hours month by month: first tee time 7.45am in October, 8am in November and 8.15am in December and January, with the last 18-hole start between 2.45pm and 2pm. Of the hotels in this guide, the nearest is Fairmont Royal Palm, 8 minutes away. See our Samanah Golf Club guide.

Al Maaden: the club has a 300-metre driving range, a grass practice area, a putting green, a chipping green and practice bunkers. The high-season green fee is 1,350 MAD for 18 holes, from 5 September 2026 to 30 June 2027. Its website offers no accommodation. OpenStreetMap shows hotels around Al Maaden, but the club’s website mentions none of them, and the official website of one refused connections on 19 October 2026, so we do not list them. Mandarin Oriental, which advertises privileged access to Al Maaden Golf, is 7 minutes away.

An on-course resort has one limit: it ties you to one home course, while Marrakech has 13. The Fairmont also turns away players above a 28 handicap. For a group that wants to rotate between Samanah, Al Maaden, Amelkis and Royal Golf, our golf holidays in Marrakech page sets out the offer: a private villa for 3 to 21 guests, a dedicated chef, private transfers between the airport, the villa and each course, and rounds on Marrakech’s courses chosen with you, from €1,150 per golfer (about £970). Flights are not included. To warm up before the first tee, see our guide to Marrakech driving ranges.

On-course resort or villa with a chef: ask for both options, costed. We build the trip to measure: courses, tee times, accommodation and transfers.
