Assoufid Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 course of 6,440 m at km 10 on the Guemassa road, about 20 minutes from the Marrakech medina. Niall Cameron designed it and it opened in October 2014. Players need a handicap of 35 or lower. The green fee is 1,300 MAD for 18 holes and 700 MAD for 9 holes from 1 Oct 2026 to 30 Sept 2027. On top of that, budget for a caddie (250 MAD here): caddies have been compulsory on every Moroccan course since the FRMG circular of 29 May 2025.

Rolling fairways wind through an arid setting dotted with cacti, olive trees and palms, creating striking contrasts between the bright green turf and the ochre tones of the desert. Each hole is conceived as a distinct challenge, alternating between open views and tighter stretches that call for precision and strategy.

Excellence in the heart of the desert

Strategically placed greens add a further technical dimension, forcing players to adapt their approach at every turn. What makes Assoufid Golf Club truly exceptional is its unspoilt natural setting. Playing here means moving through an almost mystical silence, broken only by the wind and birdsong. In the background, the snow-capped Atlas Mountains provide a magnificent backdrop, turning every round into a sensory experience where sport meets contemplation.

Since it opened, Assoufid has quickly established itself as one of the most remarkable courses in Marrakech, recognised for the impeccable quality of its upkeep and the elegance of its design. It draws a discerning international clientele, won over by its rare balance of sporting challenge, immersion in nature and refined atmosphere.

Assoufid Golf Club is not just a place to play: it is a journey into the heart of the Moroccan desert, an experience where every shot tells a story and golf becomes a way of life.

On the Guemassa road, some twenty minutes from the medina, Assoufid Golf Club opened its 18 holes in October 2014. Niall Cameron, a former European Tour player, designed a par 72 of 6,440 metres (7,042 yards) laid over naturally undulating desert ground, facing the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas.

The approach is restrained: only 45% of the course is planted, and many indigenous trees have been kept, alongside palms, cacti and olive trees. Driving range balls are included in the green fee.
