Palm-lined fairway and bunkers on a Marrakech golf course

A corporate golf day or golf incentive in Marrakech works best when it mixes abilities: the golfers play a team Texas scramble, the non-golfers have a coached session on the range with a pro, and everyone meets for lunch and the prize-giving. Several clubs publish what you need for this: meeting rooms, group taster sessions and team-building activities. The first thing to settle is handicaps, because some courses do not accept beginners.

Three formats for a corporate golf event

The right format depends on how many golfers you have and how much time goes to meetings. The timings below are based on what the clubs publish: 90 minutes for a taster session at Royal Golf Marrakech, one hour for Atlas Golf’s team-building golf session, and no more than 3 hours 50 for 18 holes at Assoufid.

FormatLengthBest forWhat to book
Half-day tasterA 1 to 1.5-hour coached session, then lunchGroups with few or no golfersRange, pro(s), clubhouse restaurant
Corporate golf dayOne day: 18 holes (up to 3 hours 50) for golfers, taster for the rest, prize-givingMixed golfers and non-golfersConsecutive tee times, caddies, buggies, range, room or terrace
2 or 3-day incentiveMeetings in the morning, golf in the afternoon or every other dayLeadership teams, sales teams, client hospitalityMeeting room, accommodation, transfers, one course a day

For a golf day, the Texas scramble is the easiest format with mixed abilities: everyone in the team tees off, you pick the best ball, and all four play again from there. A higher handicapper still contributes to the team score without slowing the group down. For a multi-day incentive, keep golf to late morning or early afternoon in winter: clubs such as Samanah stop 18-hole tee times at 2 pm in December and January.

Venues that host corporate groups

This is what the clubs and the on-course hotel publish themselves, checked on 12 October 2026. A blank does not mean the service does not exist, only that nothing is published.

Two profiles stand out. Fairmont Royal Palm puts real conference capacity, a hotel and a course in one place, but the course was closed to players above a 28 handicap (club website offline on 16 October 2026), so your beginners stay at the academy. Atlas Golf is the only club we checked that publishes seminar rooms and a full team-building menu, on a more forgiving nine-hole course. In between, Royal Golf Marrakech, founded in 1927, brings the history and a taster session at a published price.

Mixing golfers and beginners without holding anyone up

This is what makes or breaks a company day. Two Marrakech clubs publish a handicap rule, and it applies to corporate guests too:

  • at Fairmont Royal Palm, the course is reserved for players with a valid golf licence and a handicap of 28 or better;
  • at Assoufid, the maximum handicap is 35, and every player shows a handicap certificate at reception before paying.

In practice, a colleague who has never played will not go out on either course. Their place is on the range, on a short course (The Tony Jacklin’s par-3 nine, Samanah’s pitch and putt) or in a coached session. Before you ask for a quote, have each participant fill in a short form with their level and handicap index if they have one: that form decides who plays where. Dress codes and caddie rules in Morocco are covered in handicap, dress code and caddies.

For the golfers, none of the Marrakech clubs we checked publishes a shotgun start. Plan on consecutive tee times instead: Assoufid runs them at 10-minute intervals. Three fourballs are away within 20 minutes, and the last group finishes about 4 hours 10 after the first tee time, provided each group keeps within the club’s 3 hours 50 maximum for 18 holes.

What the golf costs for a group

We do not quote package prices here: a corporate event is priced on request, by dates, accommodation and programme. The golf element, though, can be worked out from published rates. Example for 8 golfers (two fourballs) on one 18-hole round, green fees and compulsory caddies included, rates checked on 12 October 2026 in Moroccan dirhams (MAD):

Course18-hole green feeCompulsory caddiesTotal for 8 golfersPer head

Fairmont Royal Palm has not yet published its 2026-27 rates; its 2025-26 rate card required at least one caddie per group at 200 MAD (club website offline on 16 October 2026). Samanah offers group and corporate rates on request, which may bring its line down. Taster prices are published but do not always state the unit: 300 MAD per 90-minute session at Royal Golf Marrakech; at Atlas Golf, 400 MAD for 1 to 4 people, 300 MAD for 4 to 8 and 200 MAD from 9. Check whether that is per person or per group. Add buggies, lunch and transfers and you have the basis of a budget. If you are a society or a group of friends rather than a company, see golf society trips to Morocco.

When to hold the event

The WMO 1991-2020 climate normals for Marrakech settle it. In July and August the average high reaches 37.7 °C and 37.4 °C: a summer golf day means teeing off very early, and the range is hard going for non-golfers in the afternoon. The most comfortable months for a mixed group are March (23.6 °C), April (25.7 °C), October (28.5 °C) and November (23.1 °C). From December to February, afternoons stay around 20 °C but the days are short.

The next Ramadan starts in February 2027. Daily life changes during that month: our guide to golf in Morocco during Ramadan explains what it means for a group.

Your corporate golf checklist

  • Exact number of golfers and their handicaps: this sets the course, the number of tee times and the number of caddies.
  • Meeting space: on-course hotel (Fairmont Royal Palm) or a room at the golf club (Atlas Golf), depending on group size and layout (theatre, U-shape, classroom).
  • Caddies and buggies: book them with the tee times. At Royal Golf Marrakech and Fairmont Royal Palm, caddies are paid in cash.
  • Cancellation terms: at Fairmont Royal Palm, a booking reduced or cancelled between 7 days and 48 hours before the tee time was charged at 50%, and at 100% inside 48 hours (terms on its website, offline on 16 October 2026). With a group whose numbers move, agree this up front.
  • Travel documents: UK passports must have an expiry date at least 3 months after the day you arrive in Morocco; visitors can stay up to 90 days without a visa.

For companies, we build the trip to measure: courses matched to each player’s level, tee times, accommodation and transfers. See our golf holidays in Marrakech, and the full list of courses on our golf in Marrakech page.
