Golf villa for a group in Marrakech: 8 to 21 golfers

A group of golfers on a green at Amelkis Golf Club, Marrakech, with palms and the snow-capped Atlas behind

A golf villa in Marrakech for a group works up to 21 people under one roof, non-golfers included: that is the maximum in our private villa offer. The planning revolves around the fourball: 8 golfers make two tee times, 12 make three, 21 make six (three fourballs and three three-balls). Add a compulsory caddie on every course, buggies to book with the tee times, a transfer plan for 8 to 21 golf bags, and meals timed around staggered starts.

From 8 to 21 golfers: the numbers that drive the villa plan

Everything follows from how the group splits into playing groups. The table gives the split, the number of tee times to request, the bedrooms needed if every pair of playing partners shares a twin room, the buggies needed at two players per buggy, and the caddie bill at Royal Golf Marrakech, the only club among the rate cards we read on 26 October 2026 that prices caddies by group size.

124 + 4 + 43663 × 300 = 900 MAD (75 per player)

213 fourballs + 3 three-balls610 + 1 single113 × 300 + 3 × 250 = 1,650 MAD (about 79 per player)

Royal Golf Marrakech charges per caddie, not per player: 200 MAD for 1 or 2 players, 250 MAD for 3 and 300 MAD for 4 over 18 holes, paid in cash directly to the caddie. That is why three-balls cost slightly more per head. For 21, the alternative of five fourballs and one golfer on his own makes no sense on the course: six groups of three or four keeps everyone in a proper game.

Two players per buggy is our working assumption, not a published rule: the Marrakech rate cards show one buggy price without saying how many players it covers. Get it confirmed with each club, and see our guide to golf buggy hire in Marrakech for the rules club by club.

Bedrooms: planning the villa around the golf

What matters for a golf week, beyond the number of beds:

  • Twin beds. Golf partners rarely want to share a double bed. Count your twin rooms first, then the singles that seniors or organisers will ask for. A group of 21 in pairs needs ten twins and one single.
  • Who gets up first. If six tee times run one after the other, the first group leaves the villa well before the last. Put each playing group’s rooms near each other, so the early fourball does not wake the late one.
  • Non-golfers. Our request form asks how many non-golfers travel with you, because they change the room count and the daily programme. Our guide for a golf holiday in Marrakech with a non-golfing partner covers what they can do while the group plays.
  • Bag storage. Twenty-one golf bags take up a room on their own. Ask where the bags will sleep: a lockable room near the entrance makes the morning departure faster.

Our offer covers a private villa for 3 to 21 people in total, non-golfers included. No specific villa is listed on the site: the house is proposed in the quote, matched to your group size and courses. Put the room plan in your request (number of twins, singles, non-golfers) and ask for the bedroom layout in writing.

Tee times, caddies and buggies for a large group

Consecutive tee times

A group of 12 needs three tee times in a row, a group of 21 six. None of the rate cards or booking pages we read on 26 October 2026 states the interval between two starts, so ask each club for consecutive times when you book. At Al Maaden, the online booking engine only offers dates between three hours and 15 days ahead, by morning, midday or afternoon slot: a group that wants its starts fixed months in advance books through the club, or lists them in its quote request.

The caddie is compulsory, for everyone

The Royal Moroccan Golf Federation circular of 29 May 2025 makes caddies compulsory “on all golf courses, during rounds played”. For a group, that means caddies for six playing groups at once on a 21-player day. Only Royal Golf Marrakech publishes how the caddie is priced by group size; elsewhere the rate card gives one price per caddie (150 MAD for 18 holes at The Montgomerie and The Tony Jacklin Marrakech, 250 MAD for a “cadet” at Samanah). Ask each club how many caddies it assigns per fourball. The full rules are in our guide to handicap, dress code and caddies.

Buggies: book them with the starts

Ten or eleven buggies for one group is a large request. Samanah’s 2026-27 card lists its buggies as “subject to availability, booking required”, Atlas Golf asks for caddies and carts to be booked 24 hours ahead, and Fairmont Royal Palm does not allow golf carts in the rain. Book the buggies at the same time as the tee times, and plan for part of the group to walk with their caddie if fewer are available.

Mixed handicaps

Two clubs publish a handicap limit that affects group planning: Fairmont Royal Palm reserves its course for players with a valid licence and a handicap of 28 or better, and Assoufid sets a maximum of 35, with a handicap certificate to show at reception. Fairmont also gives free access to the professional accompanying a group of seven or more. Collect every player’s handicap certificate before the trip.

These are the visitor 18-hole green fees we read on each club’s official page on 26 October 2026, with the column headings and line labels checked. The last column gives the drive time from Marrakech-Menara airport (OSRM road routing, no traffic), useful for an arrival-day round.

Fairmont Royal Palm only shows its expired 2025-26 rate card (golf club website checked on 26 October 2026) and Palm Golf Ourika still shows a card that expired on 30 September 2026: ask for those prices in the quote.

Two four-round examples, per player

Example A, the four highest green fees: Royal Golf Marrakech, Al Maaden, Assoufid and Samanah. Green fees come to 4,950 MAD per player. Caddies add 775 MAD at most (75 at Royal Golf Marrakech in a fourball, and 200, 250 and 250 MAD elsewhere if every player takes a caddie). Buggies shared by two add 900 MAD. Total: 5,725 MAD walking, 6,625 MAD with buggies.

Example B, a lower-priced week: The Montgomerie, The Tony Jacklin Marrakech, Royal Golf Marrakech and Samanah. Green fees: 3,600 MAD. Caddies: 625 MAD at most. Shared buggies: 800 MAD. Total: 4,225 MAD walking, 5,025 MAD with buggies.

For a group of 16, the green fees alone come to 79,200 MAD in example A and 57,600 MAD in example B. Our golf villa with private chef cost guide compares the villa formula with a hotel; we do not repeat that comparison here.

Transfers for 8 to 21 golfers and their bags

Our offer includes private transfers between the airport, the villa and the courses. For a group, the questions are about capacity and timing:

  • Bags as well as people. A vehicle that seats 16 does not necessarily carry 16 golf bags and 16 suitcases. Give the number of golf bags in your request, separately from the number of passengers.
  • Staggered arrivals. List each player’s arrival and departure times so the transfers can be grouped.
  • Staggered starts. With six tee times, the whole group does not need to leave the villa at once. Ask whether the transfers run in one convoy or in waves matching the tee times.
  • Arrival-day golf. Atlas Golf is 6 minutes and The Montgomerie 8 minutes from the airport by road (OSRM, no traffic): a short round on arrival day is realistic for players who land in the morning.

For airport-to-course times across Morocco, see our guide to Morocco golf transfers.

Meals at the villa after golf

Our offer includes a dedicated chef, cooking in the villa to the group’s tastes and timings. For a group on staggered tee times, timings are the point:

  • Breakfast served from the departure time of the first fourball, not at a single hour for all.
  • Lunch back at the villa or at the club, depending on the course: decide course by course in the quote.
  • One dinner hour for the whole group, the moment when 21 people are actually together.
  • Dietary requirements listed by name in your request, so the chef knows them before you arrive.

Sharing the cost fairly

Our offer starts at €1,150 (about £960) per golfer. Inside the group, some costs are shared and some are personal. A simple rule that avoids arguments at the end of the week:

  • Shared equally: the villa, the cooking and the transfers, which everyone uses.
  • Per player: green fees, since not everyone may play every round, and a buggy share for those who ride.
  • Per playing group: the caddie, priced per fourball at Royal Golf Marrakech and paid in cash. Give one player per group the job of carrying dirhams.
  • To agree in advance: how single rooms and non-golfers are charged within the group.

Ask for a quote that separates these lines and states which caddie and buggy fees are already included, so the organiser can split the bill without guesswork. For the wider points of a society trip (handicaps, entry rules, money), see our guide to golf society trips to Morocco.

What to put in your quote request

  • Number of golfers and non-golfers, and the room plan: twins, singles.
  • Arrival and departure dates, and each player’s arrival time.
  • How many rounds, which courses, and whether you want morning or afternoon starts.
  • Each player’s handicap (for Fairmont Royal Palm and Assoufid).
  • Number of buggies wanted and number of golf bags to transport.
  • Budget per person, and any dietary needs for the chef.

Send it all in one go via our golf holidays in Marrakech page.

Frequently asked questions

Our private villa offer covers groups of 3 to 21 people. The villa is proposed in the quote, matched to the size of your group, the room plan and the courses you want to play.

Six: three fourballs and three three-balls. A group of 8 needs two tee times, 12 needs three, 16 needs four and 20 needs five. Ask each club for consecutive starts.

A caddie is compulsory on every course in Morocco under the federation circular of 29 May 2025. At Royal Golf Marrakech the fee is per caddie and depends on group size: 300 MAD for a fourball over 18 holes, or 75 MAD per player, paid in cash.

For four 18-hole rounds, 4,950 MAD per player with the four highest green fees and 3,600 MAD in our lower-priced example, on the rate cards read on 26 October 2026. Caddies and buggies come on top: 1,675 MAD per player in the higher example.

No group green fee rate appears on the club rate cards we read; Samanah asks groups to contact it for group and corporate rates. Fairmont Royal Palm gives free access to the professional accompanying a group of seven or more, and Atlas Golf publishes an introduction rate that drops from 400 MAD for 1 to 4 people to 200 MAD from 9 people.

Our offer includes private transfers between the airport, the villa and the courses. Give the number of golf bags as well as passengers, and each player’s arrival time, so vehicles and runs can be planned.
