Cost of a Golf Week in Morocco: What the Golf Costs in 2026
- 14 September 2026
Five rounds on five different Marrakech courses cost 4,550 to 5,900 MAD per player in green fees, at the prices the clubs and their operator show on their own sites (checked 29 September 2026). That is the part of a golf week in Morocco we can put a figure on. Hotels and flights change with your dates, the city you choose and how early you book, so this page does not print averages for them: it shows what the golf costs, what pushes the rest of the bill up or down, and how to get a quote for your own dates.
The golf: five rounds in Marrakech
Seven 18-hole courses in Marrakech show a visitor green fee that is either valid for the 2026–27 season or published without an end date:
| Course | 18 holes, visitor | Period, as published |
|---|---|---|
| Al Maaden Golf | 1,350 MAD | High season, 5 Sept 2026 – 30 June 2027 (840 MAD in low season, 1 July – 4 Sept 2027), price shown by the club, checked 29 Sept 2026 |
| Assoufid Golf Club | 1,300 MAD | 1 Oct 2026 – 30 Sept 2027, taxes included |
| Royal Golf Marrakech | 1,200 MAD | Price shown by the club, checked 29 Sept 2026 |
| Samanah Golf Club | 1,100 MAD | Public price shown by the club, which adds that rates vary with the season |
| Amelkis Golf Club | 950 MAD | Price shown by the club, checked 29 Sept 2026 |
| The Montgomerie Marrakech | 700 MAD | Visitor price shown by the operator, checked 29 Sept 2026 |
| The Tony Jacklin Marrakech | 600 MAD | Visitor price shown by the operator, checked 29 Sept 2026 |
Pick the five most expensive and the week’s green fees come to 5,900 MAD; drop Al Maaden and Assoufid for The Montgomerie and The Tony Jacklin and they come to 4,550 MAD. Other Marrakech courses either publish no price or show a rate that ends on 30 September 2026 (PalmGolf Ourika) or a 2025–26 season table (Fairmont Royal Palm), so we leave them out of the sums. Our green fees page lists every course, city by city.
Caddies, buggies and club hire
The green fee is rarely the whole bill for a round. What the same courses show for 18 holes:
| Course | Caddie | Buggy | Club hire |
|---|---|---|---|
| Royal Golf Marrakech | Compulsory since 28 May 2025: 200 MAD per caddie (1–2 players), 250 (3), 300 (4), cash | 450 MAD, optional | 400 MAD |
| Assoufid | On request, 250 MAD | 450 MAD | 400 MAD |
| Amelkis | — | 400 MAD | 350 MAD (bag) |
| The Montgomerie | 150 MAD | 350 MAD | — |
| The Tony Jacklin Marrakech | 150 MAD | 350 MAD | — |
At Royal Golf Marrakech the caddie fee is per caddie, not per player, so a four-ball shares 300 MAD. Fairmont Royal Palm also requires at least one caddie per group, at 200 MAD a round in cash. Samanah lists caddie, buggy and trolley as options without a price.
When you go changes the golf bill
- Price years start on 1 October at several clubs. Assoufid goes from 1,100 to 1,300 MAD for 18 holes on 1 October 2026; PalmGolf Ourika’s and Golf du Soleil’s published rates run to 30 September 2026, and their new rates were not yet online on 29 September.
- Time of day counts at Fairmont Royal Palm. Its 2025–26 table charges non-residents 1,400 MAD for 18 holes between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. in high season and 1,250 MAD before 8 a.m. or after 2 p.m. (750 to 850 MAD in low season). The club notes that all rates change with each new season.
- Agadir publishes seasons too. Golf du Soleil charged 850 MAD in high season and 595 MAD from 1 May to 30 September on its 2025–26 sheet; Golf de l’Océan shows 600 MAD for 1 May – 30 September 2026 and no winter rate yet. We found no published price for Tazegzout.

Flights and your golf bag
We do not quote fares: they depend on your dates and when you book. What we can confirm from the airlines’ own route data and announcements (checked 28 September 2026):
- Ryanair lists routes to Marrakech from London Stansted, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Dublin and Stockholm Arlanda. Golf clubs travel in the hold for a fee, up to 20 kg; the fee is in Ryanair’s table of fees.
- Jet2 announced two weekly flights to Marrakech from Birmingham, Glasgow, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle, scheduled until 13 November 2026.
- easyJet starts Newcastle – Marrakech on 3 November 2026, twice a week (Tuesday and Saturday).
- Royal Air Maroc carries a golf bag free of charge up to 23 kg; excess weight is charged as excess baggage.
London Luton Airport gives the flight to Marrakech as 3 hours 40 minutes. Bringing your own clubs means a bag fee on some airlines; hiring at the club costs 350 to 400 MAD a round on the courses above.
Where you sleep: the line we price for your dates
We do not print hotel prices on this page: they depend on the hotel, the dates and the room, and a figure written today would not be the one you are offered. What changes the answer:
- Where the hotel is. The courses sit on different roads around the city. By the clubs’ own count, Amelkis is 10 minutes from the centre, Assoufid about 20 minutes from the medina, Samanah 15 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from the medina. Staying near the courses you want to play shortens the daily drive.
- When you travel. If your dates are flexible, ask for two or three sets of dates and compare.
- How many of you travel. Green fees are charged per player, but some caddie fees are charged per caddie: at Royal Golf Marrakech a four-ball shares one 300 MAD caddie fee.
Transfers between the airport, the hotel and the courses have no published tariff either; we include them in the quote.
Money on the day
Caddie fees at Royal Golf Marrakech and Fairmont Royal Palm are paid in cash. The UK government notes that the Moroccan dirham is a closed currency that cannot easily be exchanged outside Morocco, and that foreign currency worth 100,000 MAD or more must be declared when you enter or leave the country. Plan to get dirhams on arrival.
How to budget your week
- Green fees: number of rounds × the published fee of each course (table above).
- At the club: compulsory caddies where they apply, a buggy if you want one, club hire if you do not bring your own.
- Getting there: your flight, plus the golf bag fee on your airline.
- Nights and transfers: ask us for your dates, city and group size.
