Golf holiday in Morocco: the complete 2026 guide
- 15 September 2026
A golf holiday in Morocco comes down to three choices: the city (and so the airport), the number of nights and courses, and the format (a golf hotel, a private villa, or several stops). On this site we cover courses in fourteen cities; most trips are to Marrakech or Agadir, but Rabat, El Jadida, Tangier and Saïdia also work very well for a stay of a few days.
This page helps you decide: the destinations compared, typical trip lengths, what can be costed in advance and what needs a quote, then the steps to book. If you already know what you want, describe your project: we will come back to you with a proposal, free of charge and with no obligation.
In short
- First winter trip: Agadir for the weather, Marrakech to play several courses without changing where you stay.
- Experienced player: Rabat (Royal Golf Dar Es Salam) and Mazagan, in El Jadida.
- Length: two courses for 3 nights, three for 4 nights, four or five for 7 nights.
- Budget: in Marrakech, published green fees come to 1,950–3,850 MAD per player for three courses; flights, accommodation and transfers are extra.

Which destination for a golf holiday in Morocco?
The right choice depends mostly on the season and on how many courses you want to play without changing hotel. The number of courses and the airport below come from the site’s city pages, which cite their sources (ONDA, FRMG, clubs).
| Destination | Courses covered | Nearest airport | Best for | Planning the trip |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Marrakech | 13 | Marrakech-Menara (RAK), 3 km from the centre | Several courses from one base | Marrakech golf break itineraries |

| Rabat | 3 clubs (72 holes), including the 45 holes of Dar Es Salam | Rabat-Salé (RBA), 11 km away | Experienced players, tournament courses | a stay around Royal Golf Dar Es Salam |
| El Jadida | 2 (36 holes) | Casablanca Mohammed V (CMN), about 104 km by road from Mazagan | Golf by the Atlantic, resort | a golf break in El Jadida |
| Casablanca | 4 (63 holes) | Casablanca Mohammed V (CMN), 30 km away | Golf alongside a business trip | golf in Casablanca and Mohammedia |
| Tangier and Cabo Negro | Tangier: two 18-hole courses and a 9-hole course; Cabo Negro: 1 | Tangier Ibn Battouta (TNG), about 13 km away | Off the beaten track | a sample trip to Tangier and Cabo Negro |
| Saïdia and Nador | Saïdia: two 18-hole courses; Nador: a 9-hole par 27 | Oujda Angads (OUD) or Nador El Aroui (NDR) | The Mediterranean, smaller budgets | a golf break in Nador and Saïdia |

How many days and how many courses?
Allow one course per full day, and keep at least one day without golf in a week. The outlines we use in Marrakech:
- 3 nights: two courses, a long weekend.
- 4 nights: three courses.
- 7 nights: four or five courses, with a day to rest or sightsee.
The day-by-day programme, with the green fee for each course, is in our 3-, 4- and 7-night Marrakech itineraries and in 3 days of golf in Marrakech.
Depending on your plans:
- as a group of 8 to 12 players: group golf trips to Morocco;
- with a partner who does not play: a golf trip with a non-golfer;
- for several weeks in winter: wintering in Marrakech or in Agadir.
How much does a golf holiday in Morocco cost?
Only the golf can be costed in advance, because the clubs publish their green fees. In Marrakech, based on the rates published by the clubs as of 12 October 2026, the golf alone costs 1,950–3,850 MAD per player for three courses (4 nights) and 3,250–5,900 MAD for five courses (7 nights), depending on the courses chosen. A caddie and a buggy may be added for each round.
Accommodation and transfers have no fixed public price: they depend on the dates and are costed in a quote. You book your flights yourself.

Organising your golf holiday in Morocco, step by step
- Choose your dates. On the Marrakech–Agadir axis, the best period is October to April; in summer, rounds start early in the morning. In Ifrane, at altitude, it is the other way round: summer is the most pleasant season. Month by month: when to play golf in Morocco. During Ramadan, none of the clubs we checked announces a closure, but check the restaurants’ opening hours: golf in Morocco during Ramadan.
- Choose the city and your accommodation. See the table above, then where to stay in Marrakech for a golf trip and the hotels with golf in Marrakech.
- Book your tee times. Some clubs set a maximum handicap (35 at Assoufid, with a certificate requested before payment); a caddie has been compulsory on every course since a Royal Moroccan Golf Federation (FRMG) circular of 29 May 2025 (at the Royal Golf Marrakech, a forecaddie since 28 May 2025). The club-by-club rules: booking golf in Morocco and handicap, dress code and caddies.
- Plan for your golf bag. Each airline has its own rule: flying to Morocco with a golf bag, or hiring clubs locally.
- Arrange your transfers. Between the airport, the hotel and the courses, a private transfer booked in advance saves you driving: transfers to Moroccan golf courses.
- Check your documents. A passport valid for the whole stay is compulsory, including on an organised trip: an identity card alone no longer allows entry to Morocco (France Diplomatie).
